The Investors in People Standard is a business improvement tool designed to advance an organisation's performance through its people. NTS achieved this award in 1997. 

 

Developed in 1990 by a partnership of leading businesses and national organisations, the Standard helps organisations to improve performance and realise objectives through the management and development of their people. Since it was developed the Standard has been reviewed every three years to ensure that it remains relevant, accessible and attractive to all. The most recent review was completed in November 2004.

 

ISO 9000:2000 certification is an internationally recognised standard for an organisation's management of quality systems and procedures aimed to ensure its products or services satisfy its customers' needs and comply with any applicable regulations. It is required by many government agencies and suppliers before they will 'do business' and helps increase efficiency and build up customer and supplier satisfaction levels. Overall, ISO 9000 is an indication of NTS' determination to set and achieve the highest standards for the benefit of all its partners and learners.
